БЪЛГАРИЯ
Разположена в сърцето на Балканския полуостров, България се гордее със своята древна и богата история. Траки, елини, римляни, византийци, славяни и българи са обитавали тези земи, оставяйки след себе си паметници и обогатявайки съкровищницата на световната култура.
Население
България заема 111 000 км2 и има население от около 8 милиона. Столицата на България е София. Страната се разделя на две части от Стара планина и граници с Черно море на изток, Румъния на север, Турция и Гърция на юг и Сърбия и Черна гора и Македония на запад.
Климат
По-голямата част от България има континентален климат със студена зима и горещо лято. Като цяло, климатът е по-суров от този на други Европейски части на същата географска ширина и средните годишни температури са по-високи от тези на съседните страни.
Език
Официален език е българският, който се говори от около 90% от населението. Турският е езикът на най-голямата малцинствена група.
Образование
Около 99% процента от българското население е грамотно. Образованието е безплатно и задължително за деца от 6 до 16 години и около 85% от тази възрастова група ходят на училище. Образованието е разделено на няколко степени: начално – 4 години, основно – 4 години и средно – 4-5 години, в зависимост от вида училище. Около 30% от учениците продължават образованието си в колежи и университети.     BULGARIA

Population
Bulgaria occupies 111 000 square km and has a population of about 8 million. Bulgaria's capital is the city of Sofia. Bulgaria is divided into two parts by the Balkan mountain, and also borders Black sea in the east, Romania in the north, Turkey and Greece in the south, Serbia&Montenegro and Macedonia in the west.
Climate
Most of Bulgaria has a continental climate, with cold winters and hot summers. The climate in general is more severe than in other European areas of the same latitudes, and the average annual temperature range is greater than that of neighbouring countries.
Language
The official language is Bulgarian, spoken by about 90 percent of the population. Turkish is the largest minority language.
Education
Bulgaria's literacy rate is about 99 percent. Education is free and compulsory for children from the ages of 6 through 16, and about 85 percent of eligible students in this age group attend school. Students attend primary school for four years, basic (or middle) school for four years, and secondary school for four to five years depending on the course of study. About 30 percent of students continue their education past the secondary level.
